West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee, always manages to land herself in hot soup. Recently, in Dhulagarh, barely 30 kms from the state’s capital, violence broke out between two communities. Houses were burnt, broken and ransacked amidst such violent mob attack. Most of the victims of this attack were Hindus. Had the majority of the victims been Muslims, this incident would have been given national priority by our very own Chief Minister. This incident would have labelled as a result of demonetization if majority of the houses ransacked were of Muslim population.

However, since majority of the victims were Hindus, no mention was ever made of this incident until Zee News made an initiative to report about it. No other mainstream news channel covered the riots even when we know that media these days wait eagerly for such juicy news. In fact, controversial Journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai, claimed the Dhulagarh riots as rumors. Neither Mamata Banerjee nor any of her spokesperson has given their share of story and even today, maintain their silence on the incident.

I must mention here that I am not against Muslims or Islam, this article solely aims at showing the true colors of our designated CM. ALL LIVES MATTER. A Muslim person’s life is as precious as a Hindu person’s life. We, Hindus and Muslims, wish to stay peacefully and in harmony. But some people take advantage of our unfortunate past and use it as a weapon to create further animosity amongst Hindus and Muslims.

Now, what is interesting to mention here is that Mamata Banerjee, our Respectable CM, and her Government has filed an FIR against the Zee News Chief Editor, Zee News Reporter and camera person for covering Dhulagarh Riots in Zee News.

Zee News Chief Editor Sudhir Chaudhary wrote on Facebook: “Just to inform all of you Mamta Banerjee Govt has filed an FIR against me and Zee News reporter Pooja Mehta and cameraperson Tanmay Mukherjee for covering Dhulagarh Riots on Zee News. The FIR has non bailable sections which is enough to gauge their intentions to arrest me and my colleagues. Pooja Mehta is just 25 and got the taste of Mamta’s intolerance so early in life in the form of a non bailable FIR.

This is what a young girl reporter getting to learn from a woman chief minister who claims to be the champion of democracy. It’s another low point in our democracy to see a democratically elected govt using police force to curb media in an effort to suppress uncomfortable facts and reality. When you can’t manage media, use the state machinery to conquer the media only to conceal the failures of your administration. It shows the intolerance of a chief minister who is using the state machinery as her personal fiefdom and acting like a feudal lord. I see the positive side of this blunder as a window for all free minds of this nation to act and show fascist forces their actual place. Or once again Selfish Politics will prevail? That’s my fear. #IntolerantMamta”

This FIR shows the end of democracy in West Bengal. No one can speak against her. The voice of Media is curbed for showing the true content. Mamata Banerjee and her Government is clearly bigger that Constitution. The State of West Bengal has reached its rock bottom. I am eagerly waiting for the worst to happen to our state.

Our Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee is so busy with her anti-demonetization campaign that she has completely forgotten to keep a check on home affairs. It is high time she makes some changes in her governance. In a way, I am happy that this FIR was lodged because now everyone will know what matters to our Dear Chief Minister.
